Like Yoga, Meditation has become more and more mainstream over the past decade, but it too is somewhat understood by those who have never practiced it. The benefits are numerous, including the ability to reduce stress, lower blood pressure and resting hear rate, and refresh and rejuvenate the mind.
Mediation also allows one to focus more clearly, and bring order to an otherwise chaotic or “monkey” mind, and incorporating visualization can also enhance physical and mental performance.
Jim and Shelly Crowder are both certified yoga teachers in Howard County, Maryland, and Shelly is also a certified in Yin Yoga.
